Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Design Manager, Transmission, to lead planning, coordination and delivery of transmission line and substation designs across HV and MV infrastructure in Western Australia. You will drive technical governance, manage design interfaces, mentor engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on a landmark Clean Energy Link program delivering a more reliable power system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years leading HV transmission design (220kV+).
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE and AS/NZS standards.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical and National Crime check.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission line and substation design from concept to detail.
• Manage design interfaces across HV and MV infrastructure.
• Drive constructability, systems integration and technical governance.
• Oversee cost, schedule, design change and risk using CPI, SPI and EVM.
• Lead SiD, HAZID/HAZOP and CoM reviews and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and build internal design capability.
• Manage external consultants and cross-functional communication.
