Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Design Manager, Transmission in Western Australia to lead planning, coordination and delivery of HV and MV transmission line and substation designs. You will oversee inputs from inception to delivery, collaborating with engineering, construction and client teams.

The role covers overhead lines, underground cables, structures and protection systems. You will drive technical consistency, manage risk and ensure design outputs meet project objectives, with emphasis on safety,

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading HV transmission (220kV+) design from concept to detail.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE and AS/NZS standards.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and National Crime check.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission line and substation design from concept to detail.
• Manage design interfaces across HV and MV infrastructure.
• Drive constructability, systems integration and technical governance.
• Oversee cost, schedule, design change and risk using CPI, SPI and EVM.
• Lead SiD, HAZID/HAZOP and CoM reviews and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and build internal design capability.
• Manage external consultants and cross-functional communication.
