Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator within commercial construction.
• Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 head contractors.
• Experience across multistorey residential, mixed-use or complex commercial building projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, design coordination and buildability.
• Ability to manage multiple consultants, competing priorities and project deadlines.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage design process from concept development through to construction.
• Lead external consultants, architects, engineers and specialist designers.
• Review design documentation to ensure buildability, compliance and cost efficiency.
• Work closely with estimating, commercial and project delivery teams.
• Identify design risks, resolve technical issues and manage design changes.
• Coordinate design programmes, approvals and documentation deliverables.
• Contribute to value engineering and design optimisation initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal project teams.
