Job summary

Now Careers is seeking an experienced Design Manager for a commercial construction project delivery role. You will lead the design process from concept to construction, ensuring compliant, buildable, and commercially viable solutions aligned with client requirements.

The role requires strong design detailing capabilities, proven bid-won experience in competitive ECI environments, and excellence in communication with diverse stakeholders. A background in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Design Management within the commercial construction industry.
• Proven track record of winning work through strong design, constructability, and commercial outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with attention to detail.
• Proficient with design and project management software; AutoCAD, Revit and BIM experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept through to construction, ensuring outputs meet project, budget, and client requirements.
• Develop innovative, practical, and cost-effective design solutions to compete against ECI competitors.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and construction teams to ensure designs are coordinated, buildable and commercially viable.
• Oversee detailed construction drawings and documentation, ensuring compliance with codes, standards and regulations.
• Manage design risks, programmes, client relationships, and deliverables to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
