Job summary

LEVEL 33 is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the end-to-end design lifecycle for high-end residential and mixed-use developments. You will drive value engineering, coordinate consultants, and ensure design quality, budget alignment, and timely sign-offs.

This role requires strong knowledge of the BCA, Australian Standards, NSW planning controls, and exposure to design reviews within a collaborative builder-developer environment that rewards initiative and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a Design Manager role (residential/mixed-use preferred).
• Strong knowledge of BCA, Australian Standards, and NSW planning controls.
• Understanding of exempt and complying development pathways.
• Proven ability to coordinate consultants and liaise with authorities.
• Strong technical documentation and design coordination capability.
• Excellent attention to detail with a passion for high-quality finishes.
• Proactive, confident, and able to show initiative.
• Strong organisational skills to meet key program milestones.

LEVEL 33 continues to experience strong, consistent growth year on year. With a well-established portfolio of residential and mixed-use developments across Sydney and Wollongong, we are expanding our team to support an exciting and secure project pipeline.

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to play a critical role in managing and coordinating the full design lifecycle of high-end developments - from DA approval and CC attainment. This role is suited to someone who is technically strong, commercially aware, and passionate about quality outcomes.

THE ROLE

As Design Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the design process, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard.
