Job summary

Wiley is seeking a junior designer within its Design and Engineering team in Brisbane. You will work with experienced designers and engineers to develop architectural designs, process drawings and project documentation from concept through construction, gaining hands-on experience with guidance from senior team members.

You’ll be exposed to multiple project stages, collaborate across internal teams and external collaborators, and contribute to safe, quality-focused project delivery while

Qualifications

• A qualification in architecture, building design or related design field.
• Familiarity with 2D and 3D design software.
• Strong attention to detail and an organised approach.
• Clear communication and collaborative mindset.
• A willingness to learn and contribute practical ideas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings and project documentation using 2D and 3D design software.
• Develop design details from briefs, sketches and specifications under supervision.
• Assist with coordinating process, equipment and services designs.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate drawings, design records and document control.
• Support project reporting, research and proposal preparation.
• Help ensure designs meet project, safety and quality requirements.

About the Role

Start your design career with Wiley’s Design and Engineering team.
