Job summary

Dubbo Regional Council is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Infrastructure Strategy and Design branch in Dubbo, NSW. You will shape civil infrastructure from concept to completion, contributing to stormwater, road upgrades, and long-term planning.

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, experience with 12d, MicroStation and XPSTORM, and Local Government design exposure are preferred. The role offers an attractive salary package in AUD and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or Environmental Engineering) recognised by Engineers Australia
• Experience using GNSS rovers, digital levels, Total Stations and Ground Penetrating Radar preferred
• Extensive Civil Engineering design experience in Local Government
• Proficiency with 12D, MicroStation, AutoTurn 11 and XPSTORM
• Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver civil engineering plans and computer models meeting budget and strategic requirements
• Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders
• Undertake concept designs for long-term infrastructure planning
