Job summary

Dubbo Regional Council is seeking a Project Engineer, Infrastructure to lead delivery of diverse civil engineering projects within the Dubbo region. You will coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal teams to keep projects safe, compliant and progressing.

The role offers strong development opportunities, mentoring, and exposure to large-scale infrastructure from bridges to major road and stormwater assets within NSW local government settings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to supervise and manage staff with good teamwork and conflict resolution.
• Experience in project and contract management with ability to organise conflicting priorities.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver diverse civil engineering projects from pre-planning to construction and completion across the Dubbo Regional Council area.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants and the community.
• Develop project and contract management capabilities including cost estimating, scheduling, compliance and stakeholder engagement.
• Learn on the job with mentoring and access to professional development.
• Tackle bigger, more complex projects with backing of experienced leaders.
