Job summary

Dubbo Regional Council is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Infrastructure Strategy and Design team. You will contribute to planning and delivering civil infrastructure projects from concept through to completion, using 12d, MicroStation, XPSTORM, and related survey equipment.

The role emphasizes preparing designs, providing technical guidance, and supporting long-term planning for a growing region in New South Wales. A flexible, 35-hour week is offered alongside salary packaging options.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level civil engineering education or progression through degree as recognised by Engineers Australia.
Experience with civil design and infrastructure planning in local government is preferred.
Proficiency with survey equipment (GNSS, Total Station, digital levels) is advantageous.
Strong communication and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver civil engineering plans and computer models to meet budgets and strategic needs.
Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Undertake concept designs for long-term infrastructure planning.
