Job summary

Facade Innovations in Willoughby, NSW, Australia is seeking a Design and Business Development Assistant to join our mechanical louvre window manufacturing team. You will contribute to design, procurement, production planning, and project coordination across fast-paced fabrication environments, working with AutoCAD and CNC processes.

You will have hands-on development opportunities, collaborate with trade professionals, and help shape innovative façade solutions in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or trade qualification required.
• Experience in facade/window manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Strong mechanical understanding of fixings and mechanisms.
• Ability to manage procurement, logistics and production planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist finalisation of louvre designs and draw components for machining.
• Prepare prototypes and associated drawings for approval.
• Check shop drawings, panel layouts, glass sizes, and hardware compatibility.
• Understand louvre mechanisms and BMS integration for fire and ventilation systems.
• Prepare parts lists, cutting sheets and manage material take-offs.
