Job summary

Facade Today in Perth is seeking a Senior Façade Engineer to lead design, engineering and documentation of façade systems for high-profile projects. You will manage complex scope, mentor junior engineers and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust solutions that meet project constraints and client expectations.

In this role you will drive technical strategy, oversee budgeting and coordinate with BMU, Building Physics/ESD, Acoustics and Lighting teams, ensuring quality

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering (Structural, civil) or architectural discipline.
• Experience in façade engineering and related building disciplines.
• Experience delivering complex façade projects including curtain wall, glazing, cladding and specialist systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Proven capability in façade concept design, detailed engineering, documentation and construction-phase support.
• Experience providing technical leadership on projects, including mentoring junior engineers and reviewing outputs
• Strong understanding of façade performance requirements including structural behaviour, weatherproofing, durability and constructability
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A collaborative mindset and ambition to consistently achieve high standards of work for clients

Responsibilities

• Deliver and oversee façade and structural engineering design services, including concept development, detailed design, documentation, analysis, specifications and construction phase support
• Management of complex projects to ensure the efficient, profitable and high-quality delivery, including technical strategy, resourcing, risk management, fee support and consultant coordination
• Financial management of projects via project budgeting, cost control, invoicing oversight, debtor follow-up and review of financial performance
• Coordinate and contribute to multi-disciplinary consultancy services (including BMU, Building Physics/ESD, Acoustics, Logistics, Remedial and Lighting) to achieve integrated project outcomes
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development activities by supporting proposals, presentations as required
• Mentor junior engineers and consultants to foster a collaborative, safe and high-performing team culture
