Job summary

Infinity Constructions in Sydney seeks a proactive Design Coordinator to support the Design Manager through pre-construction, coordinating consultants and documentation, and ensuring timely delivery with authority, client, and construction requirements.

You will review design documents, manage BIM coordination, track design registers, and assist in RFI processes while collaborating across internal teams and external partners to align deliverables.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills.
• 3–5 years’ experience in architectural documentation or a design-related role.
• Experience in commercial construction; prior Design Coordinator experience preferred; BIM environments and coordinated design models on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards, and authority processes.
• Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam Revu; AutoCAD required, Revit and BIM 360 experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination of design consultants and documentation from concept to construction.
• Review design documents and BIM models to identify and resolve issues, clashes, or discrepancies.
• Support BIM coordination activities, including model reviews and consultant alignment.
• Track and maintain design registers, documentation schedules, and authority approvals.
• Support the management of RFI processes and Safety in Design compliance.
• Participate in design and subcontractor meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and model coordination.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and timely deliverables.

The Opportunity

As a Design Coordinator, you will support the Design Manager in managing the design and documentation process through the pre-construction phase. You’ll play a critical role in coordinating consultants, tracking documentation, resolving design issues, and ensuring timely project delivery aligned with authority, client, and construction requirements.
