Job summary

ACCIONA is recruiting an engineer to support commissioning, start-up and initial operation of the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant in Perth. You will work across control room monitoring and field troubleshooting, coordinating with mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams to deliver a safe, efficient start-up.

Degree holders in Engineering with desalination plant experience, SCADA/DCS knowledge, and willingness to be site-based during commissioning are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical, Process or Instrumentation & Control.
• Experience commissioning or operating water treatment/desalination plants.
• Ability to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs and control philosophies.
• Working knowledge of SCADA or DCS systems.
• Willingness to be fully site-based for commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of assigned process systems and control logic.
• Support safe execution of commissioning activities to spec and procedure.
• Collaborate with operators, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams.
• Conduct system walkdowns, punch listing and completion verification.
• Support loop checks, sequence testing and cause-and-effect matrix testing.
• Review process trends and data to inform commissioning decisions.
• Apply HSSE systems including PTW, LOTO and risk assessments.
