Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Project Engineer (I&C) for the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant in Perth, WA. You will lead commissioning of electrical and control systems, including switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, instrumentation and SCADA, coordinating with construction, mechanical and process teams to meet milestones.

You will perform pre‑commissioning, loop checks, tests and handover documentation, ensuring safety, regulatory and quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation & Control Engineering or similar.
Experience commissioning electrical and control systems on water, desalination or process plants is highly regarded.
Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures and schedules for electrical and control systems.
Coordinate with construction, mechanical and process teams to align commissioning with project milestones.
Conduct pre-commissioning inspections, loop checks and system readiness verification.
Perform functional and performance tests on electrical equipment and control systems.
Validate system parameters and prepare commissioning reports for handover.
Identify and resolve faults and integration issues during commissioning.
Provide technical support for modifications and upgrades.
Ensure commissioning activities comply with electrical safety standards and regulatory codes.
