Job summary

Synergy is seeking a DER Platform Operator on a 12-month fixed term based in Central Park, Perth. You will oversee day-to-day operation and coordination of Synergy’s DER and VPP fleets, supporting reliability and customer value.

Responsibilities include dispatching fleets during NCESS activations, monitoring asset performance, coordinating maintenance via SAP, and working with contractors and technology partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent in engineering, science, IT or commerce; or Electrical Trade with cert.
• Minimum 3 years in Electrical Energy industry with DER/solar experience.
• Experience with third-party partners and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Operate, dispatch and manage DER/VPP fleets during activations with compliance.
• Monitor asset performance, identify faults and initiate corrective actions.
• Test DER device capability and readiness for VPP operations.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance across DER assets using SAP to manage work orders.
• Coordinate with contractors, OEMs and internal stakeholders for scheduled works.
• Review contracts and coordinate related operational and payment processes.
