Job summary

Ngaruki Gulgul Central School in New South Wales is seeking an experienced Deputy Principal to lead the Kariong campus, guiding educational and operational leadership and ensuring safe, high‑quality learning and wellbeing for students.

You will work with the Principal and Exec team to drive planning, staff development, assessment, and community engagement, while upholding trauma-informed practices and cultural safety.

Qualifications

• Current NESA teacher accreditation.
• A minimum of five years' experience in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of reporting systems, curriculum, effective teaching practice and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and coordination of the Kariong campus.
• Mentor and develop staff, promoting professional growth and teamwork.
• Oversee teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum implementation.
• Lead approaches to student engagement, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Guide trauma-informed, consistent responses to challenging situations and embed safety.
