St Catherine's Catholic College in The Whitsundays is seeking a Deputy Principal (Primary) to join the leadership team. The successful candidate will partner with the Principal to foster a culture of care, excellence and Catholic values, shaping a vibrant learning community and guiding teaching, wellbeing and daily operations.

The role requires proven leadership, curriculum design insight, and a commitment to inclusive, faith-based education.

Salary Range: $153,277 per annum pending experience + Super + Allowances

This is a full time, 5 year fixed term position.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to work in partnership with the Principal to foster a culture of excellence in Catholic education, supporting the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of every student. The successful applicant will provide strategic leadership across teaching and learning, student wellbeing, and the day-to-day operations of the College, while building strong relationships with staff, students, families, and the wider community. Committed to the mission and values of Catholic education, the Acting Deputy Principal will lead with integrity, collaboration, and a genuine dedication to creating an inclusive, high-performing learning environment where every student is encouraged to flourish.

With proven leadership experience and a deep commitment to Catholic education, you demonstrate the ability to develop and mentor others within a professional learning culture. Drawing on your knowledge of contemporary pedagogy, curriculum design and student wellbeing, you inspire excellence and model inclusive, values-driven leadership. You’ll also lead continuous improvement and innovation, using data-informed practice to strengthen teaching, learning and student outcomes.

You’ll bring authentic faith leadership as an active member of a Catholic Eucharistic community, together with full accreditation to teach Religious Education and registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
