Job summary

East Partnership in Sydney is seeking a Deputy Chief Financial Officer to join the leadership team. The role reports to the CFO and spans financial strategy, planning, governance and finance operations across the organisation.

You will work with senior leaders on budgeting, forecasting, tax, regulatory matters and financial reporting, while leading the finance function, shaping talent, and driving continuous improvement to support growth and potential mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in financial services, lending or related environment.
• Strong technical accounting foundation and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CFO and leadership on financial strategy and planning.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and analysis.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Manage statutory accounts, tax, audit and regulatory requirements.
• Provide commercial insights to support business decisions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and systems.
• Manage relationships with auditors, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Support strategic initiatives and due diligence for M&A and integration.
