Job summary

Transit Systems NSW at South Granville Depot is seeking a Depot Coordinator to manage day-to-day depot operations, rostering drivers and buses to support safe and reliable services.

You will work with the Depot Supervisor and Operations Manager, monitor attendance, adjust coverage and maintain accurate records.

This role requires organisational skill, clear communication and the ability to respond quickly to operational changes while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, rostering or dispatch.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Clear communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and escalate when needed.
• High attention to detail with rosters and shift records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor driver sign-on and availability to support scheduled services.
• Record and manage same-day sick calls and unplanned absences.
• Identify roster gaps and arrange coverage.
• Allocate drivers and buses to match requirements.
• Liaise with Yard Persons on fleet readiness and bus availability.
• Coordinate with Operations Control Centre on service delivery matters.
• Record cancelled trips and events where drivers cannot continue.
• Update leave calendar and shift changes.
• Support NightRide coverage and high-risk shifts.
• Complete shift handover notes and escalate issues as needed.
• Follow safety and HSEQ policies.
