Job summary

Lowes Petroleum is seeking a Depot Manager in Quilpie to lead day-to-day operations at the Quilpie Depot under the Regional Operations Manager. You will supervise depot staff, manage recruitment and training, and ensure accurate stock administration and reconciliation.

This role requires knowledge of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility, with strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills to drive safe, compliant operations in a remote region.

Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle and/or fuel industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Daily operational management and supervision of depot staff, including recruitment, training and performance management.
• Administration and reconciliation of stock.

About the role:

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this position will be accountable for the safe and reliable day to day operational management of the QuilpieDepot.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily operational management & supervision of depot staffincluding recruitment, training, and performance management
• Responsible for administrationand reconciliationof stock
• Collaborating with other departments to coordinate logistics, transportation, and delivery schedules
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Comply with all external regulatory requirements – including BFM
• Handling customer enquiries, issues, and complaints in a professional manner

The successful applicant will require:

• Previous experience in heavy vehicle &/or fuel industry an advantage
• Proven understanding of Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Quality Assurance and Chain of Responsibility legislation
• Sound Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail
• Effective communicator with proven record of building & maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Confident decision-maker with ability to work autonomously & lead a team within a diverse logistics operation
• Well-developed organisational, problem solving and time management skills
