Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager to run daily store operations, oversee a high‑volume stock environment and lead a 20+ person team. You will partner with other department managers and report to site management while driving the Best Experience for customers and ensuring safety culture and compliance across shifts.

The role requires roster planning across weekdays and weekends and a passion for delivering measurable results.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in a busy retail environment.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to coach for best experience.
• Understanding of retail KPIs, stock, merchandising, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to deliver Best Experience and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform duty manager responsibilities, including opening and closing the store on weekdays and weekends.
• Roster and plan for your team to meet service promises and drive sales.
• Drive merchandising excellence, monitor KPI metrics, and maintain stock accuracy and loss prevention.
