Job summary

Mosman Council is seeking an experienced administration professional to support the Environment & Planning Department on a full-time fixed-term contract to June 2028, based on Sydney's lower North Shore.

You will deliver high-quality customer service and administrative support, coordinate Planning Panel documentation, review Development Applications, and manage inquiries while engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve quality community outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive administration experience (5+ years) with strong organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure in multi-functional environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation, and relationship building with both internal and external customers.
• Proven leadership and coordination capability, including managing work plans, training schedules, working independently when needed, and supporting team targets.
• Strong technical proficiency and continuous improvement mindset, including proficient Microsoft 365 skills and experience in implementing process improvements.
• Appointed as Justice of the Peace or willingness to obtain this upon commencement.
