Job summary

Maven Dental Subiaco is seeking a friendly Dental Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and to help create a smooth, welcoming experience from first contact through to appointments. You will work closely with the clinical team and Practice Manager to coordinate bookings and patient flow.

The role requires previous reception experience in healthcare, excellent communication, strong organisational skills, and comfort with dental practice management software.

• Previous experience in a reception role is essential, preferably dental or healthcare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confidence using computer systems and dental practice management software.
• A professional, friendly and patient-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing friendly, professional service.
• Managing appointments, the appointment book and patient scheduling.
• Handling patient enquiries in person, over the phone and through other communication channels.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality.
• Coordinating with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.
• Discussing treatment appointments and assisting patients with treatment-related enquiries.
• Supporting administrative tasks, including patient payments and processing transactions.
• Assisting with recalls, confirmations and follow-up appointments.
• Helping maintain an organised, welcoming reception and waiting area.
