Job summary

Oral Health Victoria is seeking a Dental Floor Coordinator to oversee daily chair management and allocate resources across the OMFS unit. You will work with the leadership team to optimise throughput, patient safety, and team performance.

The role requires leading dental teams, coordinating rostering, and ensuring clinical standards are maintained while supporting efficient service delivery in a public health setting.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 6 years' current experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Experience leading teams in a clinical environment.
• Knowledge of rostering and workforce management.
• Strong understanding of oral health patient care processes and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dental lists and chair management to support clinical priorities.
• Lead and support dental teams, fostering a positive and solutions-focused culture.
• Manage staffing, rostering, and resource allocation.
• Partner with leaders to optimise patient flow, safety, and service delivery.
• Monitor clinical standards, documentation, and care continuity.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
