Job summary

Teachers Health Group is seeking a Dental Assistant & Receptionist to support patients from arrival to departure with chair-side assistance, reception duties, and sterilisation. The role combines clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a dental assistant and/or dental receptionist is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, friendly attitude with a strong focus on patient care.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the dentist during procedures, including chair-side support and sterilisation of instruments.
• Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments.
• Managing patient appointments, bookings and recalls.
• Welcoming patients and ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
• Handling patient enquiries and coordinating patient care.
• Maintaining patient records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Managing payments and health fund claims.
