Job summary

Teachers Health is seeking a Dental Assistant and Receptionist to join our Adelaide team at the Health Centre. This casual role combines clinical support with front-desk duties to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will assist the dentist, prepare rooms, manage bookings, welcome patients, and handle inquiries and payments. The role suits someone reliable, friendly, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a dental assistant and/or dental receptionist preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, friendly attitude with a strong focus on patient care.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in dental software (Oasis, Examine Pro) is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the dentist during procedures, including chair-side support and sterilisation of instruments.
• Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments.
• Managing patient appointments, bookings and recalls.
• Welcoming patients and ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
• Handling patient enquiries and coordinating patient care.
• Maintaining patient records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Managing payments and health fund claims.
