1300SMILES Bundaberg Post Office is hiring a casual Dental Assistant to support the delivery of quality dental care in Bundaberg, QLD. You’ll gain hands-on experience while helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.

Ideal candidates bring dental assisting experience or a Certificate III, with a friendly, reliable attitude and the ability to work well in a team. Flexible casual hours suit study or other commitments.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience and/or a Certificate III or above in Dental Assisting is highly regarded, but not essential.
• Friendly, confident and approachable manner with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting dentists and clinicians across a range of procedures.
• Providing chairside assistance and anticipating clinicians' needs.
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and equipment.
• Welcoming patients and ensuring they feel comfortable.
• Maintaining clean, organised and well-prepared clinical areas.

Located in the heart of Bundaberg on Bourbong Street, you'll work alongside an experienced dental team in a busy and varied practice, gaining valuable hands‑on experience while helping patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit.

Job Description

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our clinicians and helping the practice run smoothly throughout the day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting dentists and clinicians across a range of procedures
• Providing chairside assistance and anticipating the needs of the clinician
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and equipment
• Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their appointment
