Dental Excellence Bundaberg is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in Bundaberg, Queensland. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth running of our practice. This is a casual position, working roughly 3–5 days per week (27–38 hours), with flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting dentists during patient procedures by passing instruments, providing suction, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments
• Greeting patients, booking appointments, and managing patient records
• Providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries and concerns
• Adhering to all relevant health and safety standards and infection control protocols

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right applicant
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
• A friendly, professional, and empathetic approach when interacting with patients
