Job summary

Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is seeking a Demi Chef to join our kitchen team on a live off-island, day shift basis. You will prepare and cook menu items to a high standard, presenting dishes with care and creativity while collaborating with the Executive Chef and Head Chef.

You should have a genuine passion for food and hospitality, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment on a tropical island.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Demi Chef or Chef role, preferably within a hotel environment.
• A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
• Excellent personal presentation and a strong eye for detail.
• Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Proven ability to deliver quality and consistency to the highest standards.
• A positive attitude and strong team-working skills.
• Creativity and flair with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking menu items to a consistently high standard.

• Working closely with the Executive Chef, Head Chef and wider kitchen team.
