Job summary

Wesfarmers Health is seeking a Demand & Supply Manager - Beauty to lead the PLER team's demand and supply planning and inventory strategy. You will shape long-term plans, align commercial, operational and financial priorities, and drive resilient supply chain initiatives across wholesale, retail and private label.

You will influence senior leaders, manage risk, and guide forecasting tools adoption while delivering optimized stock, availability and costs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, supply chain, or merchandise planning in a retail environment.
• Experience building high performing teams and leading through change.
• Inventory management experience in a franchise model business an advantage.
• Proven track record in demand planning, inventory optimisation, and inventory control.
• Experience leading IBP/I&OP transformations or planning maturity uplift programs.
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise level planning, scenario modelling and risk governance.
• Experience working with inventory management systems, ERP solutions, and forecasting tools.
• Strong financial acumen with inventory-related metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is advantageous but not mandatory
• Understanding of transport and DC compliance requirements (AU/NZ)

Responsibilities

• Shape and own the short, medium and long-term demand and supply roadmap across our Beauty portfolio.
• Champion the evolution of Integrated Planning (I&OP), creating alignment across plans and data-led demand/supply.
• Lead planning across retail, wholesale and private label with promotions, seasonality, new launches and capacity constraints.
• Develop and execute inventory optimisation strategies balancing working capital and service levels.
• Drive supply chain resilience and network optimisation with distribution, logistics and supplier networks.
• Lead digital planning transformation and improve data governance and forecasting tools.

What you’ll do:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Demand & Supply Manager - Beauty to join our Private Label, Ethicals & Replenishment (PLER) team. Reporting to the Head of Replenishment, you will lead the demand and supply planning function, shaping the long-term demand and supply strategy to optimise inventory investment, drive availability outcomes and enable sustainable commercial and operational growth across Wesfarmers Health.

This is a highly influential leadership role where you will drive the evolution of integrated planning, bringing together commercial, operational and financial priorities to create greater transparency and alignment across the business. You’ll provide strategic planning advice to senior leaders, influence decisions across category mix, supply chain risk, supplier arrangements and inventory investment, and lead initiatives that strengthen supply chain resilience and planning capability.

In this role, you will:

• Shape and own the short, medium and long-term demand and supply roadmap across our Beauty portfolio, aligning business growth ambitions with supply chain readiness and inventory strategy
• Champion the evolution of Integrated Planning (I&OP), creating alignment across commercial, operational and financial plans and driving commitment to a clear, data-led demand and supply plan
• Lead demand and supply planning across retail, wholesale and private label, incorporating promotional activity, seasonality, new product launches, market trends, capacity and supply constraints
• Develop and execute inventory optimisation strategies that balance working capital and service levels while improving stock turn and reducing excess, obsolete and expired stock
• Drive supply chain resilience and network optimisation, partnering across distribution, logistics and supplier networks to improve availability, fulfilment and inventory outcomes
• Lead digital planning transformation and continuous improvement, supporting the adoption of forecasting tools, planning systems, automation, analytics and improved data governance

What you’ll bring:

• 7+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, supply chain, or merchandise planning in a retail environment
• Experience building high performing teams and leading through change

• Proven track record in demand planning, inventory optimisation, and inventory control
• Experience leading or contributing to IBP/I&OP transformations or planning maturity uplift programs.
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise level planning, scenario modelling and risk governance
• Experience working with inventory management systems, ERP solutions, and forecasting tools
• Strong financial acumen, with an understanding of inventory-related financial metrics
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field
• Preferred: APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, IBF CPF, or equivalent supply chain certifications
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is advantageous but not mandatory
• Understanding of transport and DC compliance requirements (e.g., Chain of Responsibility in AU/NZ contexts)
