Whizdom in Canberra seeks a Delivery Manager to unblock issues, support the delivery team and monitor performance. You will work with Product Managers to define roadmaps for products and services, remove blockers, and help the team maintain delivery throughput.

The role requires managing scope, schedule, budget and resourcing across ICT projects, using established PM methodologies, and delivering value through strong leadership and stakeholder collaboration.

Formación

• Experience delivering ICT projects using established project management methodologies.
• Ability to define and manage project scope, schedule and budget.
• Proven leadership of project teams to deliver medium-scale projects on time and to budget.

Job details

Delivery Managers unblock issues, support the delivery team, and monitor and improve performance of the team. They use agile methodologies, learning and iterating the product and processes frequently to meet user needs. They work with Product Managers to define the roadmap for products and services, remove blockers and support the delivery team so that they can maintain delivery throughput.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Managing project scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, risks, issues, procurement, stakeholder engagement, change control, governance and reporting in alignment with organisational requirements;
• Managing project activities across highly complex ICT projects using established project management methodologies;
• Managing, facilitating and supporting project delivery teams and individuals to achieve organisational objectives;
• Maintaining appropriate systems development methods, tools and techniques;
• Tracking and managing costs, timelines, quality, resource usage and issues, and taking appropriate action as required;
• Managing resources for the project to ensure the deliverables are completed within identified time frame and agreed cost;
• Documenting a management plan that identifies the actions required to realise benefits;
• Developing and maintaining strong effective working relationships with key management personnel and internal client base.

Essential criteria

• Measurement level 4: Supports projects, functions or teams in the development of measurement methods.
• Methods and tools level 4: Provides advice and guidance to support the adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards.
• Performance management level 5: Sets the quality, performance and capability targets in line with organisational goals.
• Project management 5: Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects. Provides effective leadership to the project team. Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools.
• Resourcing level 4: Facilitates and supports the execution of resourcing activities in collaboration with managers and teams.

Desirable criteria

• Systems development management level 5: Plans and drives systems development projects which support the organisation's objectives and plans.

Contract:

Contract till 30 June 2027 with 2 x 12 months extension option

Security Required:

Baseline Security Clearance required
