Job summary

Viking Imports is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver (Temperature Controlled Van) for Prestons, Sydney. You will load, unload and drive multi-drop deliveries around Sydney with occasional trips up to Newcastle, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, South Coast and ACT.

The role runs 6am-2pm, Monday to Friday, with a permanent position and $30 per hour. You will manage temperature-controlled deliveries, interact with customers, and maintain high standards of service and product quality.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in delivery driving in Sydney.
• A valid full driver’s license with a clean record.
• Experience delivering to food stores is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Sydney roads.
• Good written and numeric skills.
• Good time management.
• Great attention to detail.
• Team player approach.
• Excellent relationship and people skills.

Delivery Driver | Premium Food Services | Prestons

6am-2pm, Monday to Friday

Permanent Position with an Hourly Rate ($30 per hour)

Viking Imports is a family owned specialty food importer and distributor. We supply premium products to Australia’s leading independent retailers, major supermarket chains and specialty delicatessen shops.We are also a boutique 3PL cold storage warehouse based in Prestons, servicing clients of all sizes.

We are now looking for a reliable delivery driver who is a great communicator and has excellent attention to detail.

Delivery Driver - The Role

Day to day, you will be loading, unloading and driving multi-drop deliveries around Sydney. There will also be runs up to Newcastle, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, South Coast and a monthly ACT run.

Overall your responsibilities include:

• Driving and delivering our premium food products to independent supermarkets and delis
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Monitoring multi temperature van and product temperature
• Upholding our ethics of quality service and quality products with our customers

You will need to be at the warehouse at 6am with your runs generally finishing up around 2pm.

What you bring to the table

You have a great attitude, common sense and love chatting to customers.

Additionally, you will bring:

• Two years’ experience in delivery driving in Sydney
• A valid full driver’s license with a clean record
• Experience in delivering to food stores (preferred, but not essential)
• Extensive knowledge of Sydney roads
• Good written and numeric skills
• Good time management
• Great attention to detail
• A team player approach
• Great relationship and people skills

Please note, our van in a multi temperature automatic van and requires a regular drivers license.
