Job summary

Federation Council invites applications for a Delivery Coordinator based in Corowa, NSW. This full-time role is part of the Engineering Services department within the Operations team, leading operational maintenance and delivery of core civil infrastructure assets across the region.

You will oversee roads, drainage, waste management, quarries, and Corowa Aerodrome, while mentoring staff and coordinating works programs.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Class C manual driver’s licence is required.
• NSW Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) is essential.
• Demonstrated project management experience in infrastructure maintenance.
• Ability to schedule work programs and coordinate resources.
• Knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and plant/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational delivery across roads, bridges, drainage, quarries, and waste management.
• Coordinate works programs and assist with RMCC; set out sites and conduct inspections.
• Enforce WHS requirements and manage site risk with SWMS/SOPs.
• Coach outdoor staff and contractors; conduct performance appraisals.
• Assist in budgeting and monitor expenditures within delegated authority.
• Participate in after-hours on-call roster and respond to emergencies.

Job description

We are excited to announce an opportunity to join Federation Council as a Delivery Coordinator within our Engineering Services department. Based in the picturesque location of Corowa, NSW, this full-time position offers a unique chance to be part of the Operations team, contributing to the success and growth of our engineering services.

The Opportunity

Federation Council is seeking an experienced, practical Delivery Coordinator to lead the operational maintenance, development, and delivery of core civil infrastructure assets across the region. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee a broad operational footprint covering roads, drainage, waste management, municipal quarries, and the Corowa Aerodrome.

In this role you will be required, but not limited to:

• Manage operational delivery across roads, bridges, footpaths, urban and rural drainage, roadside furnishings, quarry management, Corowa Aerodrome, and waste management services.
• Co-ordinate works programs, assist with Routine Maintenance Council Contracts (RMCC), set out construction sites, perform road inspections, and prepare Traffic Control Plans.
• Enforce compliance with Council’s WHS Management System, conduct project risk assessments, implement site-specific SWMS/SOPs, and investigate incidents.
• Supervise and mentor outdoor staff and contractors, conduct performance appraisals, and champion a positive workplace culture.
• Seek project quotations, monitor team financial performance, assist in budget preparation, and ensure transparent expenditure within delegation.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotating roster and respond to emergency tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience - Essential key criteria to be addressed in applications:

• Current and valid Class C manual driver’s licence.
• NSW Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
• Demonstrated project management experience within an infrastructure maintenance environment (planning, financial management, delivery, and evaluation).
• Proven ability to schedule work programs and coordinate resources effectively.
• Practical knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and plant/equipment limitations.
• Excellent working knowledge of WHS requirements and proactive risk management.
• Demonstrated capability in leading, motivating, and managing a team to achieve operational targets.

Desirable Qualifications:

• NSW Traffic Management Certificate (Blue, Yellow, Red, Orange).
• Supervisory Certificate or formal Civil Construction / Road Maintenance qualifications.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment. The salary is commencing at $48.05 per hour with progression up to $53.05 per hour dependent upon skills and experience.
