Job summary

Singleton Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader Roads to join our Civil Operations team. You will lead road construction and maintenance projects, mentor staff, coordinate resources and ensure safe, high-quality delivery for the Singleton community.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position, 38 hours per week (9-day fortnight), with a base salary of AU$85,951–$96,685 plus superannuation and commuter vehicle benefits.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintenance) or equivalent qualifications and/or experience.
• Experience in civil construction specifically the construction and maintenance of roads, both sealed and unsealed.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing worksites, providing direction and coordinating the construction of major civil infrastructure and maintenance works and projects.
• Proven experience and demonstrated ability to lead, coach and support staff to achieve work targets efficiently and effectively.
• Experience using technology and software systems to manage works, projects and reporting.
• Sound understanding and application of Work Health and Safety practices.
• Current C Class Driver Licence (minimum).
• HR Driver Licence or willingness to obtain.
• White Card (General Construction Induction).
• Implement Traffic Control Plans accreditation is desirable.
• Experience operating civil construction plant and equipment is desirable.

This position is offered on a Permanent, Full-time basis working 38 hours per week.The team currently work a 9-day fortnight and a rotating on-call roster.

Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 10 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $85,951.00 - $96,685.00 per annum plus superannuation. This position attracts the benefit of commuter use of a fit-for-purpose vehicle.
