Job summary

Cleared is seeking a hands-on Windows Build & Deployment Specialist to join a Defence sustainment team in Canberra. You will build, configure and secure Windows laptops to meet technical and Defence security standards for operational use.

The role emphasizes Windows OS installation, security hardening, validation of configurations and ongoing sustainment while collaborating with engineering and cyber security teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Relevant IT, systems administration or cyber security qualifications are highly regarded.
• Microsoft certifications or security-focused certifications are advantageous.
• Experience building, deploying and supporting Windows laptops and desktops.
• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and secure Windows laptops for deployment to operational environments.
• Install and configure Windows operating systems and apply security baselines.
• Manage Windows security settings, Group Policy and endpoint protection.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and OS issues while maintaining compliance.
• Create and maintain build procedures and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, cyber security and stakeholders to resolve issues.
