Job summary

Kinexus is partnering with a large defence prime to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will lead the build and management of internal systems and bespoke defence ICT technologies in a security-focused environment.

The role requires NV1/NV2 clearance, a Bachelor's in IT and a track record of 10 years in IT with at least 3 in a lead role, plus hands-on expertise with Dell/VMware, Windows and Linux servers, and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• NV1 security clearance at application stage is required.
• Bachelor's degree with 10 years IT experience including at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Proven experience with Dell and VMware-based servers.
• Experience with LAN infrastructure, cloud platforms, Windows and Linux servers, high availability/clustered environments, and SharePoint.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills; able to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Support build, management and administration of local infrastructure (networks/servers/storage/databases/apps/backups).
• Manage vendors, contracts and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure service levels.
• Ensure infrastructure and application controls follow defence security policies and generate compliance reports.
• Manage budget and track costs of digital technology services, hardware and software; promote continuous improvements.
• Support ICT systems upgrade and implementation projects.
