Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security in Canberra is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to help establish a new technical standards office for Army, acting as the technical authority for a US-origin sensor interoperability data standard across Land domain tactical networks. Reporting to the SO2 for Modelling and Standards, you will hold delegated technical authority over the prototyping activity.

You will engage external technical and engineering stakeholders on strategic direction, oversee

Qualifications

Proven systems engineering experience in military C4 environment.
Ability to hold Design Authority per Chief Engineer.
Experience with ITAR compliance for handling controlled items.
Willingness to complete Defence training.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SEMP and TEMP for prototyping.
Run requirements, design and test readiness reviews for prototyping.
Engage external technical stakeholders on strategic direction and outcomes.
Oversee engineering process and governance alignment across product lines.
Prepare fortnightly status reports to the Director and monthly SITREPs to Army Minors team.
Identify and elevate technical risk to SO2 Modelling and Standards.
Undertake other reasonable tasking from SO2 or LNIC Executive Staff.
