Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking a Software Developer/Engineer to contribute to design, development and implementation improvements of the Woomera Test Range. The role involves integrating new instrumentation and expanding existing capabilities, with opportunities to work across Windows and Linux environments.

You will collaborate in a small team, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and travel to the Woomera Test Range for trial activities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in software engineering, computer science, or engineering.
• 2–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of secure development practices.
• Proficiency in C#, C++, Python or Bash.
• DevOps, infrastructure-as-code and automation experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, design, develop and integrate software across Windows and Linux.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and development environments.
• Work in a small team to meet internal and external requirements.
• Provide input into IT design solutions.
• Explore new capabilities for the Woomera Test Range Mission System.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Collaborate effectively with teammates.
• Build high-quality and reliable software for future capability.
• Travel to Woomera Test Range to support trial activities as required.
