KBR in Australia is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Mission Integration team and contribute to cutting‑edge software solutions for Defence capabilities. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' experience, strong skills in ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, SQL Server, and OOP, and a commitment to quality, testing, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Software Engineer or similar role.
• Experience developing applications using ASP.NET, C#, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL, including Stored Procedures.
• Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience with Unit Testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software in accordance with established engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
• Participate in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Assist with task decomposition, work planning, and effort estimation.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and features.
• Conduct and support unit testing, performance testing, and system integration activities.
• Contribute to system and technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across software engineering processes and practices.
• Represent KBR professionally while adhering to company policies, security requirements, and quality standards.
