Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Project Officer to support the Project Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks and deliver performance analysis across Defence projects including SEA8000 and related upgrades. You will track metrics, analyse performance, and collaborate with functional leaders to drive improvements.

Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.

Qualifications

2–5 years of administrative experience in a project environment (essential) in Defence industry (preferable).
Strong planning, analysis and communication skills.
Excellent administrative skills with understanding of project life cycle, documentation and standards.
Awareness of earned value management principles (desirable).

Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager with day-to-day tasks and administration to achieve project goals.
Manage delivery of performance analysis tasks ensuring scope, cost, schedule and quality adherence; propose improvements.
Track and report progress of key performance metrics, identifying trends and issues.
Analyse operational performance using Excel, Tableau, Power BI to provide insights.
Work with functional leaders to understand performance influences and provide detailed insights.
Identify performance gaps and support development of corrective actions.
Gather lessons learned and participate in feedback sessions to improve processes and tools.
