Job summary

Downer is seeking a Logistics Technician (Equipment Compliance Assurance) to support Continuous Naval Shipbuilding projects in Adelaide, SA or Henderson, WA on a maximum term basis. You will join Downer Professional Services to ensure equipment compliance and drive safety across complex naval systems.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting ILS, maintenance, logistics or engineering activities within Defence, maritime or other complex technical environments.
• Knowledge of equipment compliance, Technical Assessments, and OQE requirements.
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and pressure systems and related safety/compliance considerations.
• Experience auditing technical data and validating ILS information against installed equipment baselines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying Alternate Parts and confirming Form-Fit-Function (FFF) equivalence.
• Support MARSPT with Technical Assessments of Alternate Items of Supply.
• Conduct onboard audits of ship-fitted Certified Items, Engineering Register data and associated OQE.
• Audit Registerable Plant and collect, assess and register associated OQE, focusing on hydraulic, pneumatic and pressure systems.
• Conduct condition assessments of removed and returned equipment to determine refurbishment and remaining service life.
