Job summary

Babcock Australasia seeks a Hydraulic Technician to refurbish, test and maintain critical hydraulic and mechanical systems in a defence-focused workshop in Woodville North, SA. You will operate in a dedicated team, reading detailed drawings and applying problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role involves stripping, surveying, cleaning and testing, with opportunities for training, mentoring and participation in special projects that enhance workshop performance and customer

Qualifications

• Qualified tradesperson with a strong mechanical background.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience refurbishing hydraulic and mechanical systems in Defence or high-integrity environments is desirable.
• Licence and eligibility to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1) is required or desirable.

Responsibilities

• Refurbish, test and maintain hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
• Strip, survey, clean and troubleshoot components in a specialised workshop.
• Generate accurate workmanship documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
