Job summary

NW Technology is seeking an experienced infrastructure specialist to join its Australian defence technology team in Symonston, Canberra. You will maintain Azure and on‑premises infrastructure, provide L3 support, and work to keep systems secure and reliable.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Active Directory, Windows Server, Hyper‑V, and Nutanix, plus scripting in PowerShell or Shell. NV1 clearance is required, and the position is permanent and on‑site.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server and desktop environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, including Hyper‑V and Nutanix.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Shell.
• Clear communication and a methodical approach to solving problems.
• Good understanding of on‑premises networking, firewall solutions and backup technologies.
• Awareness of ASD's Essential Eight security controls and DISP certification.
• Linux/ RHEL and Ubuntu installation and administration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical specialist for infrastructure services and new solutions.
• Maintain and improve Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Provide Level 3 support for infrastructure and application platforms.
• Investigate complex issues, manage requests and recommend practical improvements.
• Document technical solutions and support change management.
