Job summary

National Workforce is seeking a hands-on infrastructure specialist to join our Australian technology organisation delivering defence sector solutions. You will maintain Azure and on-premises infrastructure, act as a technical specialist for infrastructure services, and provide Level 3 support for platforms.

The role is permanent and on-site at Symonston, Canberra ACT, with NV1 security clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server and desktop environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, including Hyper‑V and Nutanix.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Shell.
• Good understanding of on-premises networking, firewall solutions and backup technologies.
• Awareness of ASD's Essential Eight security controls and DISP certification.
• Linux/Ubuntu operating systems installation and administration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical specialist for infrastructure services and new solutions.
• Maintain and improve Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Provide Level 3 support for infrastructure and application platforms.
• Investigate complex issues, manage requests and recommend practical improvements.
• Document technical solutions and support change management.
