Job summary

Babcock Australasia in Woodville North, SA, is seeking a Hydraulic Technician to refurbish, test and maintain high-integrity hydraulic and mechanical systems for defence capability. In a specialised workshop, you’ll strip, survey, clean, troubleshoot and test equipment to established standards.

You’ll support the Lead Technician and Workshop Manager, manage clean room activities, and contribute to continuous improvement, with training and mentoring opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified tradesperson with strong mechanical background refurbishing hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagnose faults.
• Licences and Defence Security Clearance eligibility (NV1).
• Experience in quality-driven or Defence-related environments.
• Further training in hydraulics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Refurbish, test and maintain hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
• Strip, survey, clean, troubleshoot and test components.
• Read drawings and ensure accurate documentation.
• Support Lead Technician and Workshop Manager; contribute to continuous improvement.
