Job summary

SA Fluid Power Engineering invites a Senior Hydraulic Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join our team in South Australia. You will troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, read schematics, and collaborate with clients to determine optimal solutions.

Based in Cavan, SA, the role includes both field and workshop work across Adelaide and regional SA, with interstate opportunities for the right candidate. A strong trade background and WHS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• This is a senior position with strong hydraulics knowledge.
• Background as Mechanical Fitter or similar trade is preferred.
• Experience with mechanical and pneumatic equipment, control logic, and WHS requirements.
• Possess a current driver’s licence; forklift licence or willingness to obtain one.
• MR, restricted electrical, dogging, rigging, EWP tickets are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnosing faults in hydraulic systems and control circuits.
• Installing and modifying hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Breakdown response and preventative maintenance.
• Reading hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings and technical information.
• Dealing directly with customers and explaining faults and repairs.
• Completing service and maintenance records.
