Job summary

Service Stream is hiring multiple Grounds Maintenance Operators for permanent full-time roles at RAAF Tindal, NT. You will perform a wide range of manual and machinery-assisted tasks supporting construction, agriculture, and infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates will operate landscaping equipment safely, work outdoors in all weather, and have PPE awareness. Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Defence clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate mowers, blowers, compactors, and other landscaping equipment.
• Capable of lifting, digging, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Assisting with fencing, paving, retaining walls, and irrigation systems.
• Familiarity with OH&S procedures and proper use of PPE.
• Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively on-site.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and clearing land for construction, agriculture, or infrastructure projects.
• Operating plant and construction machinery safely and efficiently.
• Loading, transporting, and handling materials and equipment.
• Performing manual labour including digging, lifting, and trenching.
• Supporting tradespeople and crews with general site tasks.
• Conducting equipment checks and report faults or hazards.
• Identifying utility lines and manage soil conditions.
• Setting up and cleaning work areas to maintain site safety.
• Participating in toolbox talks and contribute to a safe work culture.
