Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd is seeking a senior Government Project Manager in Newcastle to lead Defence & Government initiatives end to end, from scoping to delivery and sign-off. You will manage budgets, timelines and risk registers while liaising with government stakeholders and internal teams.

With security clearance eligibility as a plus, you’ll shape project governance in a fast-growing startup, building processes as the team evolves, and enjoy equity and hybrid working in a remote-friendly

Qualifications

• Proven delivery of projects in Defence or regulated sectors.
• Experience with PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent.
• Ability to report to senior or governmental stakeholders.
• Security clearance eligibility is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Run Defence & Government projects end to end from scoping through to delivery and sign-off
• Manage budgets, timelines and risk registers, and flag issues early
• Act as main point of contact for government stakeholders and internal delivery teams
• Coordinate cross-functional input from technical, commercial and compliance colleagues
• Prepare reports and briefings for senior stakeholders
• Build project management processes as the team is developing
