Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Account Manager/Director to lead the Defence Digital Engineering Practice in Australia. The role focuses on growing a high-performing team, winning major Defence programs and delivering innovative engineering solutions for Defence clients.

The position requires proven consulting experience, a strong Defence network, and the ability to engage at executive levels across Defence, industry and government. Citizenship and security clearance are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a consulting, professional services or advisory environment.
• Established Defence industry network with strong client relationships.
• Demonstrated success in business development, opportunity origination and revenue growth.
• Strong executive stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience leading large-scale engineering, technology or transformation programs.
• Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Strong commercial acumen and consulting capability.

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead the Defence Digital Engineering practice.
• Develop and strengthen relationships across Defence, Defence industry and government stakeholders.
• Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities.
• Lead executive-level client discussions and develop strategic consulting solutions.
• Build, mentor and expand multidisciplinary consulting and engineering teams.
• Partner with engineering, cloud, AI, security and technology specialists to deliver integrated outcomes.
• Support major Defence pursuits, proposals and business development activities.
• Drive capability development and thought leadership across the Defence sector.
• Lead the delivery of complex engineering, transformation and technology programs.
