Job summary

Effective People is seeking three APS3-equivalent Data Entry Contractors to support a Defence data processing project in Campbell, ACT. The role requires entering survey data from paper responses into approved electronic formats with strict accuracy and confidentiality.

On-site, 19-week contract with a start around mid-November 2026; NV1 clearance or above is mandatory. You'll work with Excel and Microsoft 365, reviewing responses, applying business rules and data dictionaries, and escalating

Qualifications

• Experience with high-volume manual data entry and strict accuracy.
• Ability to check, validate and correct data beyond simple entry.
• Proficient with paper forms and documented procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Review handwritten and printed survey responses.
• Extract data using business rules and data dictionaries.
• Enter survey data into approved electronic formats.
• Identify incomplete, illegible or ambiguous responses and escalate.
• Perform self-checking and peer-review quality assurance.
• Handle sensitive information through approved systems and processes.
